<p>Title: "YOGA PEACE AND HAPPYNESS:PHYCHOLOGY AND PHYSIOLOGICAL DIMENSION” National Level Seminar ,Organized by Department of Physical Education, Cooch Behar College</p> <p><strong>Introduction:</strong></p> <p>On 21.06.2024 a yoga seminar was organized at Cooch Behar College to promote awareness about the benefits of yoga and its impact on physical and mental well-being. The seminar aimed to bring together yoga enthusiasts, practitioners, and experts to share their knowledge and experiences.</p> <p><strong>Objectives:</strong></p> <p>1. To understand the principles and benefits of yoga</p> <p>2. To learn various yoga techniques and practices</p> <p>3. To explore the therapeutic applications of yoga</p> <p>Program Outline:</p> <p>1. Inaugural Session: The seminar began with an inaugural session, where the chief guest, B.K Sampa, Centre In-charge, Brahma Kumari, Raj yoga Meditation Centre, Gunjabari, Cooch Behar, emphasized the importance of Meditation in modern life.</p> <p>2. Keynote Address: The keynote speaker, Dr. S. Sivachandrian,</p> <p>Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, Pondicherry University, delivered a comprehensive lecture on the history, philosophy, and benefits of yoga.</p> <p>3. Speaker: Dr. Rakesh Prasad , Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, Indra Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh. Delivered his lecture on benefits of pranayama.</p> <p>4. Yoga Sessions: The seminar featured various yoga sessions, including Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. Participants had the opportunity to practice yoga under the guidance of experienced instructors.</p> <p>5. Panel Discussion: A panel discussion was held on the topic "Yoga for Health and Wellness." The panel consisted of experts from various fields, including yoga, medicine, and psychology.</p> <p>5. Conclusion: The seminar concluded with a closing ceremony, where participants shared their experiences and feedback.</p> <p><strong>Key Takeaways:</strong></p> <p>1.
