ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

General Degree Course and has gradually expanded its academic horizon. At present, the Department offers a 4-Year Undergraduate Honours Degree in History, following the curriculum prescribed by Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University.Our Department is committed to nurturing students as responsible and enlightened human resources by fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and a spirit of inquiry. We strive to create a vibrant academic environment where students engage with historical events, ideas, cultures, and movements that have shaped societies across time. Through classroom learning, seminars, projects, educational excursions, and research-oriented activities, we provide both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure in the discipline of History.The study of History in our Department aims to develop well-informed individuals with balanced perspectives, ethical values, and a deep understanding of heritage and diversity. We emphasize intellectual growth, social awareness, and the cultivation of democratic and humanitarian ideals.Our dedicated faculty members work with passion and commitment to inspire students, encourage research aptitude, and promote a spirit of unity and cooperation.
