The Department of Geography started its journey as a general subject right from the beginning. It was established on 1st July, 1990. Honours course in Geography was introduced in the academic year 1993-1994. PG in Geography was introduced in the academic year of 2018. Now the department is equipped with a good GIS laboratory and up-to-date Survey instruments. The faculties encourage a research-oriented approach among their students. The department's commitment to equip students with essential GIS skills and knowledge goes hand in hand with empowering them to progress and advance in their academic and professional journeys. 
Programmes Offered:
  Undergraduate degrees: B.A, in Geography. 
 Post Graduate degrees: M.Sc, in Geography 
 Certificate &amp; Diploma Course in Geoinformatics.

Projects and collaborations: The College has signed a Memorandum of understanding with Sky Map Global India Pvt. Limited for enriching the skill of the students providing hands on training by Trade Experts and thus offering employability for the aspiring students. The College will sign MoU with more leading companies very soon.

Faculty and Staff&nbsp;: The Department comprises 13 faculty members, 2 non-teaching staff, and is further supported by two distinguished invitees, all dedicated to fulfilling their roles.
&nbsp;Notable publications and awards: They have numerous publications in reputed national and international journals, and many have received awards at both the national and state levels.
